How to use this BLOG!

PLEASE NOTE:

This BLOG is an attempt to simplify and show the differences the CURRENT Governance Committee has found related to the current PROPOSED rule changes, and to communicate our thinking. No official Board of Directors action has taken place, and this should all be considered "the discussion phase."

Each BLOG post will relate to a single ARTICLE or SECTION of the PROPOSED rules (a link to the proposed rules can be found on the BLOGs homepage.) The intent is to show the differences in that article or section to the part of the old rules related to the same issue(s.) Each post will have four (4) segments:

Segment 1 will describe what the CURRENT Governance Committee sees as the significant PROPOSED changes of this part of the rules. It will also show what the committee discussed, what the committee agreed to (so far), and what the committee believes should be discussed in more detail later.

Segment 2 will be a cut-and-paste from the part of the CURRENT rules that relates to this article or segment. Any part hi-lighted in RED has been REMOVED from the current rules in the PROPOSED rules.

Segment 3 will be a cut-and-paste from the article or section of the PROPOSED rules. Any part hi-lighted in green has been ADDED from the current rules in the PROPOSED rules.

When possible, there will be a 4th segment which inlays both section 2 and section 3 together. Sometimes, this offers a more clear picture of how the article or section was changed.

Our hope, as a committee, is that you find this information easy to understand. We recognize that previous attempts to explain the committee's work may not have been as clear as intended. Please send an input slip (physical or digital) to the committee to let us know any thoughts (positive or negative) you have on the PROPOSED rules. Please feel free to ask questions either by submitting a slip HERE or attending one of our meetings.
