Your Governance Committee met at 1:00 on Oct. 24th with 5 committee members and 2 community members present.
-Most of the conversation involved our communication efforts. It was agreed that Chairman Ginnever would work with Committeeman Dooley in developing an online BLOG, and possibly an email list (independent of the general community list) to disseminate committee information more quickly to the community. Concern was brought up regarding disseminating information without the BOD's approval. Chairman Ginnever will investigate the need for approval.
-The committee discussed the possibility of "chunking" the rules into smaller sections (possibly two or three articles at a time) to send out to the community for comment.
-Committeeman Dooley stated he was working on comparative documents that would highlight specific changes, paragraph-by-paragraph. He stated he was about halfway through the work and would report back when completed.
-The Forward and Articles I, II, and III were reviewed by the committee
-Discussion was held regarding the need to wait until at least mid-November to discuss the communities input since the input forms are not due until Dec. 1st. The committee agreed that we should wait until most (if not all) forms were received before taking action on any.
-All comments from the Oct. 20th meeting have been converted to Google Forms format, as have all but the two newest paper forms. The committee has received about 80 input forms total at the time of this meeting.
